In order to guarantee cross-border healthcare between the Member States of the European Union also through digital tools, the European Commission is creating the IT network capable of ensuring the interoperability of e-health services through the European Connecting Europe Facility program (CEF).
Thanks to the program it will be possible for all European citizens to use the documents contained in the EHR in whatever member state they are, facilitating and improving the European health service for citizens.
